Like I mentioned in my previous post, I like to cook my own homemade food even when we travel. But sometimes we like to go out and taste in local restaurants too. Here are four restaurants we love to go to Wisconsin Dells.

 Buffalo Phil’s Pizza & Grill

This place is close to the outlet shopping center, and have an indoor playground right next to it. It is a very convenient place to send dad and kids to play and eat while mom is shopping, haha, I am just kidding! The reason we love this place is that they use powered toy trains to deliver the food and beverages you ordered to your table. Little ones are getting so excited when the train is coming. When it is not busy, they put teddy bears and blowing bubble machines on the train to entertainment children. What a brilliant idea! The food is excellent too. I remember we went there with friends on my birthday couple years ago. I order Chicken Caesar Salad, and I got a massive bowl of fresh salad with a crispy chicken breast on the top. Yummy! They also have a buffet area if you don’t like to order anything from the menu, my kids usually like to get food over there. But you still can sit by the train side tables, except you don’t get your food delivered.

MACS – Macaroni and Cheese Shop

Are you a macaroni and cheese lover? Then you must stop by this place. It is located in downtown Wisconsin Dells, easy to get there. They serve a big variety of pasta. They also have big and small size dishes. I chose a small size macaroni and cheese with sauteed mushroom, onion and spinach on the top. Oh my Gosh, I almost swallowed my tongue with it. My daughter ordered a big size macaroni and cheese with shredded bacon, she couldn’t finish all of them and had to box the rest and snack later. My husband had his with sausage and my son just go plain. Everyone loved it!

Brat House Grill

This place is on the Wisconsin Dells PKWY, right on the corner of the connection between North and South PKWY. The restaurant serves German and American food, Grills and Bars. We came here because the guy who works in our resort told us this is the place where locals love to eat. We went there on Friday, the fish day. So I had my Friday Fish Fry, with 4 pieces beer battered fish fry with coleslaw and chips. The fish was crisp outside and tender inside. I loved it. My husband had Wisconsin Beer Cheese Brat with coleslaw and french fries. My Son had Cheese Burger and My daughter had Mushroom Swiss Burger. The food was delicious and the price was great too. We sat in the back room that was quieter than the bar area. It is nice they have this kid’s friendly area for the family.

Pizza Ranch

This place is a little bit off the road, but still easy to find. It is close to the outlet shopping plaza but on the opposite side of the intersection. If you turn right to the shopping center, then you need turn left to the Pizza Ranch. It is a buffet place, with tons of pizza choice and fried chicken, salad and soup. We love the fried chicken here. My daughter and I  love chicken wings, my son loves chicken drums and my husband loves chicken breast. You can order your favor topping pizza too. when the pizza is ready, they send it to your table, you take as much as you want, and then they put the rest on the sharing table to share with others. The ambiance in the restaurant is like a real farm ranch. When you need to go to a restroom, you are looking for Cowboy or Cowgirl signs on the door.

I know there are so many choices to dine in Wisconsin Dells. I hope to find some new places to try in the future.
