When you talk about Orlando, the first thing jumps in your mind must be Disney’s Magic Kingdom. What else? Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal KingdomEpcot, Sea World Orlando, Universal Studios, Universal’s Islands of Adventure, etc. There are so many theme parks in Orlando!

You may ask, which one is your favorite theme park? To be honest, it depends on your children’s age. The first time we went to Orlando was in 2010 when my daughter was 6 and my son was 4 years old. At that time, we went to Disney’s Magic Kingdom, Disney’s the Animal KingdomDisney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park, and Sea World Orlando. Our favorite theme park was Disney’s the Animal Kingdom at that time. Why? Disney’s Animal Kingdom is smaller and less crowded than the Magic Kingdom. If you like to take pictures with the Disney Characters, such as Micky Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald the duck, the waiting line is much shorter in the Animal Kingdom than the line in the Magic Kingdom. Same as the rides. Even though they don’t have so many rides to play, but each one is good for the whole family, especially for the little ones. We also enjoyed the 3 D movie in the theater. When the bug was crawling toward you and sneezing at you, you got wet from its sneeze. Oh boy, that was gross but funny too. I also liked the music show of the Lion King too. Kids were singing and dancing along with the actors. Kids loved it. Otherwise, Disney’s Animal Kingdom has an Africa Savanna – Kilimanjaro Safaris. In this area, all the animals are from Africa and live there with freedom, like the real wild nature area. Visitors ride on the truck to go through the animal living area. My children were so excited to watch those wild animals so closely.

We went back to Orlando again during spring break time in 2017. This time we went to Universal Studios, Universal’s Islands of Adventure, Sea World Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa. For the teenagers, Disney’s parks are not attracting them anymore. They like more adventures, just like Harry Potter. The best way to tour Universal’s two theme parks is to purchase the joint tickets for both parks. That way you can take the train to go back and forth between two parks in one day, and that the train ride is the best part of the Harry Potter story. If you like Harry Potter movies, don’t miss the train. There is a surprise happened in the train ride. Since my son has motion sickness, it was not a good experience for him to ride with Harry Potter in the castle. But my daughter was super excited of all the rides in the park. So we separated into two groups, my husband took my daughter to the rides, my son and I went to enjoy our ice-cream and Harry Potter’s magic wand tricks. All of us had fun in different ways. Universal’s two parks were the teenager’s favorite place to go.

My favor theme park was Busch Gardens Tampa. It was a smaller theme park combined showed, arts, rides, and zoo all at the same place. We went to feed the giraffes on the tour truck. Do you know what is their favorite food? Romaine Lettuce. Yes, the tour guide guys gave us fresh chilled Romaine Lettuce, and we held in the hand, the giraffes came to us and ate from our hands.  The giraffes were very gentle and cute. Look at my son, he padded and hugged this giraffe, and they seemed to like each other. The park also has a train around the entire theme park, so you don’t have to walk by yourself, you can ride the train to the spot you want to go. The Busch Gardens is a very unique theme park and I loved it.

At the end of this post, I wanted to talk about the Sea World Orlando. This park we went there twice. We loved all the shows they offered for the day we visited. My favor shows are the Dolphin Show and the Whale Show. Both shows are phenomenal and entertained. Remember they both have wet zones before you find your seat. If you’d like to get wet during the splashing time, go ahead choose the seats in the middle front rolls. If you’d like to be dry after the show, take the seats in the back. My kids loved to get wet, my husband I was more like to be dry. Don’t forget to take your camera with you. The shows are full of fun and laughter. They are so smart to be trained like a perfect performer.

One of my classmates had a blog tour with my blog. He mentioned the most trip we went were on the east coast of the U.S. I guess the reason we love to go to the east coast is that we live in Minnesota, so we have almost half of the year winter time. We need sunshine and ocean breeze to unfreeze our bodies and brains. Ha, I am joking. I hope everyone enjoys having a trip on my blog.
